CNY reflections...

Now that the Chinese New Year have came to an end, it time for us to reflect on certain stuff that we have came across during CNY~

Gambling... I bet most of us gambled during Chinese New Year. Some of us may have won, and some of us may have lost. But is gambling entirely based on luck? Read on...

Gambling is simply taking chances. Chances, in other words, probability. I bet most of your have learnt probability in math right? So, is gambling down to luck? I believe it is all down to probability. The chances of getting black jack is the same for everybody, I don't believe in luck...

Personally, I don't like to gamble, esp with friends. Be'cose in gambling, the chances of getting the same set of cards to 2 different person is the same, but the one with more experience and skill will be able to make better use of the cards. Thus, if the game goes on for a long time, the amateur will probably run out of "luck" as the professional will be able to beat the amateur easily when he has good cards. On the other hand, the amateur will spend a harder time to better the professional even if he had good cards. The professional will be able to manipulate the game. On the whole, if the game were to drag on, the winner will eventually be the professional.

I don't like to gamble with my friends cose I know gambling is never fair, the one with more experience and skill will defintely win. I have started gambling since P1, so I THINK that I should have more experience on the table so I don't wanna cheat my friends of their money... Not saying I'm good, cose I'm seriously against gambling.

Gambling is never fair, that why I hate it. I always see people queuing up for hours just to buy 4D. The chances of winning a 1st place in 4D is 0.0001%. Smart people right? wasting time AND money on gambling. Toto is even worse. The chances of winning is 1 out of 1 million I think. So don't gamble.

Even thou I'm against gambling, I would still like to introduce you guys to my sure win formula. Yes, SURE WIN. Folo closely.

-For example, you have $50, your aim is to win $51. You are playing balckjack and you bet $1. You lost. so now you have $49.

-Your aim is $51 and you have $49. So now you have to bet $2 in order to get $51. You lose again.

-Now, you have $47. Your aim is $51. So now you have to bet $4. For the 3rd time in a round you still lost( Very unlikely as the chances in blackjack is 50:50)

-Now you have $43. Your aim is $51. So you bet $8. Finally, out of 4 tries, you finally won. Now you have $51.

-Your next aim is $52. Repeat the steps above, bet ( )=your aim (Eg: $51) MINUS your capital (Eg: $43). In this case you need to bet $8.

So after reading through this, is it sure win? Haha, I know I'm a genius but there are certain restrictions on this playing style.

  1. The chances of winning must be 30% and above. Does not work for 4D or Mahjong. The chances for 4D is too small while mahjong is not applicable to this formula as you can't increase your bet.

  2. You must have a huge capital to back you up, or you will end up losing everything. You can't bet $2 as your starting value when your capital is only $10.

  3. Keep your aim($) in mind when playing.
  4. This is not applicable to casinos. The entrance fee for the IR casino is already $100. Plus, the minimum sum you have to bet is $25. So you will nid close to a thousand to be able to go in and play. The odds of winning is also smaller.
  5. Don't be greedy and bet more. You will lose!
