How to be less addicted to Dota...

I duno whether this will work but it sure worked for me thou...

You have to change the way you view dota. For me, I believe dota is something like a portal, in which I can plug myself in and enter a whole new world. Interact with different players, a plateform in which skill speaks for itself. A place for players to cooperate and defeat the opponent, a place where we can enter the soul of the hero and become them, a place for everybody to gather together and do something in common.

I rmb plaing with working adults, with teenagers of my age. I bet everyone of us have our own lives. Adults have to work, we have to study... But then, we all have something in common, Dota...

When time allows, we can plug ourself in and enjoy ourselves, interact with one another. But once we plug out, switch off our com, it is time for us to resume our normal lives, dota is just a place to plug in when time allows, when it is time, we should plug out and continue with our normal lives. We cannot hide in the hero forever, we are still us. We should be the one controlling the hero and not let the hero control us...

Feel the joy and pleasure when you plug in and play, but rmb resume your normal life once you plug out. Your mind should not with the hero anymore, it should be with you. When you are Xlr8^DaYing on garena, you are Xlr8^DaYing but once you plug out, you are Ryan. No joke. You are Ryan and you should be going for tuition and playing floorball.

What I'm trying to bring across to all of you is that you are 2 person. [DaR]ReLL in game, and Darrell in real life.

As [DaR]ReLL, I should be giving my 100%, farm well and gank. Push! Defend!

As Darrell, I should be doing my duty, doing my homework and going for floorball training.

If you can control your 2 identity well, you will have no problem managing your time.

You should know [DaR]ReLL is part of Darrell and [DaR]ReLL should not control Darrell.

In order to seriously absorb all of this, I advise you to read this again, slowly, put yor mind in every word you read... If you can get this, you can then control your addiction... Hope you can feel what I felt after I plug out...

Should be hard anyway... Haha

Hi readers. Hmmn, finally got to blog... Thats a good thing...

Ah, let me tell you about TODAY!

Firstly, it suck

Secondly, it seriously suck

Erm, well the day started with me WAKING UP at 8.30 to finish up my chinese HW. Not very cool...

Watch a bit of TV and set off to chinatown with my family.

Ate lunch and went for my Beijing trip briefing.

Here comes... My DAD told us it was 3 and we end up rushing there. Then when we reached, we were told it was at 3.30. It is so damn obvious my DAD was afraid we were late and told us an earlier time... Thks ALOT DAD... End up stoning thr for the next 30 min...

The briefing was worse... Was freaking boring!!! Plus, no babes around... Guess my trip will be a little boring...

Finally ended with me and my sis yawning uncontrollably...

The next thing was what seriously destroyed my day~~~

Went to cut my hair.

Darn~! I swear I'm gonna sue my barber!!! WTH!!! Anybody got a law agency number? >.<

My fringe only left like 20% ? Look like an alien? Quite close I believe >.<

Haven I slacked my whole holidays? Dota + Floorball = My holiday...

I believe it is time to START working. Haven started on HW, yet to do stuff I wanted to do before the holiday like cycling, swimming and many more.

Just wanna make my holiday more meaningful. BUT...

I got little time left!!! I'm leaving next friday and when I return, school gonna reopen soon so....

Darn! I messed up my holiday!!! Hope I can enjoy the rest of it >.<

In order to be better, you have to spend effort over a period of time with focus to be able to succeed.

I'm gonna work hard, to be better in Dota, Floorball and my studies. I'm sure I can do it.

Losing, don't feel good~~~

Well, just lost a friendly game, don't feel good...

Well, I'm okay with losing but what we just lost is our pride...

Apparently the match was very physical and a fight almost broke out. Everybody was bodi-ed and shoved around. Wasn't really friendly out there, little hard to keep our cool...

Winning the game could prove that we are the superior, but we lost. It was 4-3 in the third period but they came back in the fourth period with 3 goals...

The next time we meet them again, I will make sure I win them...

I'm gonna train hard, even harder, so the next time we clash again, I will own them hard~~~

Dun feel like talking about the friendly, we won 11-6 thou.

So, another inspiration post... Our future...

i believe by now, most of us can visualise our future... This is a good thing.

Can you visualise yourself in 5 years? When you are around 20? Near adulthood? The days where you will start your new career, find a girlfriend, start a family, buy a house?

Can you visualise yourself in 10 years? When you are around 30? The period where you start to settle down, get babies, get a car, taking care of babies?

Can you visualise yourself in 20 years? When you are around 40? This time frame where you will be you trying to reach the peak of your career? Taking care of rebellious child(Like yourself)?

Can you visualise yourself in 40 years? When you are reaching the end of your career? Retiring? Watching your children grow up and settle down?

Can you visualise yourself in 60 years? when you are 75? With white beard? Only with your wife with you, with all your children having their individual families?

If you can visualise that far, you will then understand life is so short... So make good use of it...

Live a life without regrets.

If you are afraid your children will abandon you when you are old, then make sure the same thing don't happen to your parents cose GOD is watching and you will get your retribution. If you are afraid your children will be unfillial to you, then start being fillial to your parents now, don't w8 till (touch wood) they are dead then start regretting.

I'm starting to TRY to understand why my parents are doing such things, by putting myself in their shoes. Imagining me myself having my own children. Definitely you do not want your children to play computer games from 8am -11pm right? So try putting yourself in their shoes, soon you will get to understand them better.

Be a good son, do the right thing, don't regret not treating your parents well in the future, all because of COMPUTER GAMES... When you grow up you will realise how dumb it is...

But now, We are on the same boat >.< Dota FTW!!!

Being able to visualise yourself in the future gives you better knowledge of what is to come. You will then know how to work towards your future... Although it will give you extra pressure by setting your goals high, but look at things from a different perspective, you are reaching your goal slowly, closer and closer!

People without goals, or people who can't visualise what they will be in the future, will live a happier life without worries but WITHOUT GOALS. Their life will be pointless.

When they grow old, they will then think" Why did'nt I do this when I was young? Why did'nt I do that when I was young?"

They will live with regrets FOREVER.... Always looking back and regretting. And I think most of you know how it feels to live with regret...

In conclusion, plan your future, so that you will live without regrets...

A saturday WITH my parent Without floorball..

tODAY SUCK TOTALLY!!! No life~~~

Well, I had to wake up early... Cose my whole family had to go collect our passports. Going Beijing during last week of the holidays... XD Freaking EXICITED!!!

They kept on nagging that I play too much computer games and psp so, to prevent further nagging, I had to leave my psp at home... The whole thing was freaking BORING!!! W8 like for 2 hours?(Seemed longer)...

After tat, we drove my sis to her driving lesson. Lol, feel damn sorry for her. She forgot to bring $ and skipped lunch...

While she was having lessons, my parents and I went to chinatown to have lunch. Was drenched by the rain then... Bought some winter clothing...

Went to pick up my sis. Had to w8 for half an hour and went back home after that.

Dota-ed 2 rounds. 1st rounds played axe, 11/0/5. Beyond Godlike I think...

2nd round played Sladar, tried tanker build. Not bad... Forget score le but sorta own. Team zai.

End up surfing internet, reading blogs and searching for music...

Today was so boring, adding up all the time I spend w8ing(On the car only), I finished reading 100+ pages of my book...
